The country s Citizens Climate Convention, made up of 150 randomly chosen citizens, had proposed to change the first article of the country s constitution to add that the [French] Republic guarantees the preservation of biodiversity and the environment and fights against climate change. Macron said that the proposed reform of the constitution will be part of a draft climate bill translating about half of the convention s 149 measures into law.
