They found that each person wastes about 174 pounds of food annually, equal to at least 1 billion meals wasted worldwide daily.Most of the waste 鈥?60% 鈥?came from households. About 28% came from food service, or restaurants, with about 12% coming from retailers. It is a travesty,  said co-author Clementine O Connor, the focal point for food waste at UNEP.  It doesn t make any sense, and it is a complicated problem, but through collaboration and systemic action, it is one that can be tackled. Measles is spreading among children in Ohio two months after cases were first detected. Yellowstone National Park, Wyo. mdash; A bison gored a 25-year-old woman in Yellowstone National Park.The bison stanley cup  was walking near a boardwalk at Black Sand Basin, just north of Old Faithful, when the woman approached it on Monday, according to a park statement. She got within 10 feet before the animal gored her and tossed her 10 feet in the air.  The woman, from Grove City, Ohio, sustained a puncture wound and other injuries.                                          Park emergency medical providers responded and transported her via ambulance to a hospital in Idaho.  Park officials say it s the first reported bison goring this year.        The park statement noted that bison are unpredictable, have injured more people in Yellowstone than any other animal and can run three times faster than humans.
