Microsoft, the Redmond, Washington software giant, confirmed to reporters over the weekend that its web-based email services were hacked.According to聽reports citing Microsoft, the company confirmed that a limited number of webmail users聽鈥?including @msn and @hotmail 鈥?saw their accounts compromised by hackers. 聽In a statement to reporters, Microsoft said: We addressed this scheme, which affected a limited subset of consumer accounts, by disabling the compromised credentials and blocking the perpetrators access.
