Supercenter retailer Meijer has wrapped up the deployment of Shop Scan technology to all of its stores.Grand Rapids, Mich.-based Meijer said it completed the 15-month project yesterday with the rollout of the mobile checkout services to 44 stores in southeastern Michigan.Shop Scan made its debut in November 2017 in a pilot at 54 stores in Michigan, starting in the Grand Rapids area and then reaching to more locations during 2018. Most recently in 2019, the service was expanded to 23 stores in Chicago and northwestern Indiana in March and then to all 42 Meijer stores in Ohio in July.Overall, the retailer operates 246 supercenters and grocery stores in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky and Wisconsin.
