Massachusetts-based Provincetown Film Society has been awarded grants by MassDevelopment and The National Endowment For The Arts NEA to support the filmmaking community in Provincetown and Outer Cape.MassDevelopment, the Massachusetts Cultural Councils partner in the administration of the Massachusetts Cultural Facilities Fund, awarded $200,000 to renovate and purchase new equipment for the Whalers Wharf Cinema, which is the home for the Provincetown Film Society and the upcoming Provincetown Film Institute.The NEA provided $10,000 in support of the 2012 Provincetown International Film Festival. The festival runs for five days in June at the Whaler Wharf Cinema.
