In May, the Islamic State released a video that was targeted specifically at India even if it was in Arabic. Its English magazine Dabiq too has focused on the country. IS has been known for cultivating a strong online propaganda presence usually marked by graphic videos of its brutality.        File photo taken on September 2, 2014 shows frame grab taken from a video released by the Islamic State  IS  and identified by private terrorism monitor SITE Intelligence Group, purportedly showing 31-year-old US freelance writer Steven Sotloff dressed in orange and on his knees in a desert landscape s stanley cup peaking to the camera before being beheaded by a masked militant R . It was unclear whether the commanders told Holbrooke exactly how many additional troops might be required, the paper said.  The assessment comes as the top US commander in the country, General Stanley McChrystal, has been working to complete a major war strategy review.  Eastern Afghanistan, in particular, has been a trouble spot, The Times said. On Sunday, during Holbrooke s stop at the Bagram military base, Major General Curtis Scaparrotti, commander of the United States and NATO forces in eastern Afghanistan, told him that the Haqqani rebel network was expanding its reach.  US commanders believe that the network, whose leaders Jalaluddin Haqqani and his son Sirajuddin have been linked to Al-Qaeda, are using sanctuaries in Pakistan to launch attacks against US and Afghan forces, according to the report.           Rea nike dunk d breaking news, latest...  See more   Read breaking news, latest updat

The World Health Organizations emergency committee will on Monday debate whether a Zika virus outbreak suspect stanley cup ed of causing a surge in serious birth defects in South America should be considered a global health emergency.        A municipal health worker carries out fumigation on a street as part of the city s efforts to prevent the spread of the Zika virus vector, the Aedes aegypti mosquito, in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. REUTERS     The UN health agency warned last week that the mosquito-borne virus was  spreading explosively  in the Americas, with the region expected to see up to four million cases this year.   The WHO is under pressure to act quickly in the fight against Zika, after admitting it was slow to respond to the recent Ebola outbreak that ravaged parts of west Africa. Although the mosquito-borne viruss symptoms are rel stanley cup atively mild, it is believed to be linked to a surge in cases of microcephaly, a devastating condition in which a baby is born with an abnormally small head and brain. While it has yet to be definitely proven that the microcephaly cases are caused in some way by the Zika virus, WHO chief Margaret Chan warned last week the causal relationship was  strongly suspected . But she declined to say how many parliamentary seats each party had won ahead of a further announcement next month in which full official results will be revealed.  This is just a temporary election result... while we allow for political parties to make complaints before we can divide the number of seats,  she told reporters. The CPP earlier claimed it had captured at least 90 of the 123 seats in parliament, with opp salomon osition leader Sam Rainsy and three other small parties dividing the rest. The Sam Rainsy party on Saturday rejected the outcome, saying the election had not been conducted freely and fairly, and demanding a re-run. My friend and former colleague Roger Court, who has die stanley quencher d aged 80 of Covid-19, was appointed in the early 1980s as project senior probation officer in Leeds, developing accommodation, education, employment and welfare rights opportunities with the aim of reducing reoffending.Starting in a very small way with a shared house provided by Leeds Federated Housing Association, he was the catalyst for the creation in 1984 of the Timble Housing Project, a founding component of the Foundation Housing Organisation.Roger co-operated with voluntary and statutory organisations across the city, making an important contribution to a culture of sharing resources and working together. Throughout his life he had sympathy for people who were marginalised, and his unorthodox approach and concern for social justice gave a practical expression to this.He was born in Coventry to Lucy  nee Thorley , who worked in the jewellery trade, and Percy Court, a draughtsman. A teenager who was given an absolute discharge despite being found guilty of sexually assaulting a six-year-old girl was granted leniency because he acted out of  inappropriate curiosity  and not for sexual gratification.During a three-day trial, Dumbarton sheriff court heard that Christopher Daniel, an 18-year-old dental student, had repeatedly touched the childs vagina over her clothing as she sat on his knee playing on a computer.Daniel left court with no conviction and without being placed on the sex offenders register because of concerns about the consequences for his future career, according to a statement published on Thursday detailing the sheriffs reasoning.Sheriff Gerard Sinclair  stanley cup conc stanley mug luded that the offence was  the result of an entirely inappropriate curiosity of an emotionally naive teenager rather than for the purpose of sexual gratification .The written ruling went on:  The accused had appeared both noticeably immature and socially awkward, features confirmed by other evidence in the case. Nearly 70% of the people killed in the war in Gaza are women and children, according to a UN analy stanley cups sis of verified deaths that highlights the heavy civilian toll of the conflict. In a new report, the most detailed analysis of its kind yet, the UN human rights office said it had verified 8,119 of those killed during the first six months of the war in Gaza.
