A product that still looks good after a few months is more impressive than something only good on arrival. Sometimes I do not mind waiting longer if the price is fair and the quality is solid. I also like when stores show real photos without heavy editing or strange angles. Smaller shops can be surprisingly friendly if they care about repeat customers.
I have learned to avoid items that look extremely different in every product photo. If they reply politely and give detailed answers, I feel more relaxed. Comfort around the heel and toes is more important than super fancy design. Jewelry is another category where quality can be very different from photos.
