For coats and blazers I usually go one size up if I want to layer sweaters under them. Sometimes one good quality item is better than five very cheap ones. From my experience, communication with the store can tell you a lot. At least here we can see more honest opinions and not only polished marketing content. Otherwise they become clutter in the closet after the trend is over. I try to balance my budget between basic everyday items and a few special pieces.

A simple pair of glasses or a basic jacket that always works is worth a lot. Sometimes customer service can fix a bad experience, but not always. Reviews that mention long term use are more valuable than comments written on day one. It is always difficult to know which website is really trustworthy before you place an order. In the past I have wasted money on items that looked good in photos but felt cheap in real life.
