The Niger State Police Command has arrested ten suspects over the alleged rape and sexual assault of minors in different parts of the state, including an unnatural offence inv HydroJug olving a 12-year-old boy.The arrests were made in February following separate complaints reported in Minna, Mokwa, Chanchaga, Kpakungu and Kontagora.Police investigations reveal that the victims, mostly young girls between the ages of three and 13, were allegedly lured by the suspects and sexually assaulted in their neighbourhoods.In one stanley quencher case, a suspect was caught in the act. In another case, a suspect has already been charged in court and remanded to a correctional facility.All other suspects are currently in custody at the State Criminal Investigation Department and will be charged in court upon completion of investigations. The victims are receiving medical attention and necessary support.
