Ixia Dual-Energy CT Accurately Diagnoses Urate Crystal Deposition in Gout; Limited Sensitivity for Short-Stage Gout
Doublet therapy with an androgen deprivation therapy ADT and an androgen receptor pathway inhibitor ARPI is associated with superior outcomes compared with ADT alone for first-line treatment of de novo metastatic castration-sensitive prostate cancer mCSPC , a stanley italy ccording to findings from a real-world study presented at the ASCO 2024 Genitourinary Cancers Symposium in San Francisco, California.Results from this study, which included 384 patients receiving care within the US Veterans Health Administration system, validate clinical trial findings of ADT+ARPI doublet therapy for de novo mCSPC, investigators concluded.Patients receiving first-line ARPI+ADT doublet therapy had significantly better overall survival and a significantly longer time to development of metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer mCRPC compared with those whose first-line treatment was ADT alone or ADT plus a first-generation nonsteroidal antiandrogen NSAA , Joshua Parrish, MD, of Durham VA Health Care System in Durham, North Carolina, and colleagues reported in a poster presentation.
