Australian distributor Palace Films has picked up local rights to Australian title Dope, a privately-financed project from stanley cup  first-time writer-director J Harkness which is currently in pre-production.The cross-cultural love story cranks up in Adelaide on August 21 with Harkness and Mark Patterson producing. Adelaide-based Guerilla Films is the production company. The Sout stanley cup h Australian Film Corporation assisted the project s development.The film is one of three currently in production in Australia that have achieved the rare feat of fully meeting their budgets from private sources. The other two are thriller The Finder, directed by Frank Shields and starring Simon Westaway and Paul Mercurio, which has just wrapped, and comedy Willfull, directed by Rebel Penfold-Russell, which is currently in post-production. Bey stanley cup ond Films has signed on as international agent for The Finder. Ken Duken and James Nort stanley cup on have joined Kon-Tiki actor Tobias Santelmann in action-adventure Northmen - a Viking Saga.Duken  Inglourious Basterds, Distanz , Norton  Rush, Belle  and Santelmann form part of a band of Viking marauders shipwrecked off the coast of Scotland.Claudio Faeh directs from a screenplay by Mattias Bauer and Bastian Zach for Zurich-based Elite Film Produktion.Ralph S. Dietrich, Karin G. Dietrich and Daniel H枚ltschi co-produce together with Frank Kaminski,  stanley us Ulrich Stiehm, Marco Del Bianco and Rolf Wappenschmitt of Berlin, and Hanover-based Jumping Horse Film.The film will be shot in English with principal photography set to commence in September this year in Bulgaria.Sales are handled by Salt with eOne distributing in UK, France, Scan stanley germany dinavia, South Africa and Australia and New Zealand.
