Lionel S. Bouchard, 92, Orrington, passed away July 18 at his home. He was born August 22, 1924 at Portland, ME, the son of J. Simon and Bern brumate adette  Boudreau  Bouchard.He grew up in Por brumate tumbler tland, Lincoln, Bangor, Orrington and Brewer. He was a graduate of John Bapst High School.During World War II he enlisted in the Army Air Corps and became an airplane engine mechanic, serving in brumate cooler  Italy and France.After his discharge he attended the University of Maine and graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering.He worked as an engineer for the State of Maine for several years, then was a patent examiner and researcher at the Patent and Trademark Office at Arlington, VA for many years until his retirement. Upon retirement, he and his wife moved to Orrington.He was a communicant, choir member and cantor of St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. Teresas Church, a Knight of Columbus, and a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. He enjoyed music, stereo system design, airplane design, gun design and reading.He was predeceased by his wife, Sylvia  Worcester , his parents, five siblings: Juliette  Julie  Fish of Orrington, Yvette Bouchard of Washington, DC, Therese Lajoie of Lanham, MD, Robert of McLean, VA and George of Fairfield, CA.Survivors include his brother, Paul of Orrington, his stepdaughter and caregiver, Margaret Shields of Orrington, many nieces and nephews.Having been a victim of Alzheimers disease for many years, it was his hope that the study of his brain ma
