Beijing: In a major setback to Chinas BRI, Brazil has decided against joining Beijings multi-billion-dollar initiative becoming the second country after India in the BRICS bloc not to endorse the mega project. Brazil, headed by President Lula da Silva, will not join the Belt and Road Initiative BRI and instead seek alternative ways to collaborate with Chinese investors, Celso Amorim, special presidential adviser for international affairs, said on Monday. Kuala Lumpur: India and Malaysia Monday agreed to amend a key MoU signed in 1993 to enhance military-to-military and technology cooperation, as Defence Minister Rajnath Singh held productive talks with the country top leadership, including Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, to realise the full potential of their strategic partnership. Singh arrived in Kuala Lumpur on a three-day visit to Malaysia on Sunday. This is the first bilateral visit after the establishment of the Enhanced Strategic Partnership, which was announced during Prime Minister Narendra Modi visit to Malaysia in 2015.
